Every order leaves our hands packed with intention. Here is everything you need to know about how your books travel to you, and what to do if something needs to come back.
Once your order is placed, please allow 1 to 3 business days for processing and packing before your package ships. We are a small, family-run brand, and every order is handled with care. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number as soon as your package is on its way.
Orders placed on weekends or U.S. federal holidays are processed on the next business day.
If your order includes a pre-order item, your entire order will ship together once all items are available. We will keep you updated by email.
Shipping is calculated by the total packed weight of your order. Below are the shipping weights for each item, so you can estimate your rate before checkout.
For example, if you order the hardcover book (1.5 lb) and the journal (1.0 lb), your total packed weight is 2.5 lb and the applicable rate will apply.
The weights listed above are approximate estimates used to calculate shipping costs and are not guaranteed to be exact. Actual packed weights may vary depending on final product specifications, packaging materials, and carrier measurement methods. The Hummingbird Whisper reserves the right to adjust shipping costs based on actual carrier-assessed weights and dimensions. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that listed weights are estimates only and are not grounds for dispute or refund of shipping charges.
We ship to all 50 states via USPS and UPS. Most U.S. orders arrive within 5 to 7 business days after your order ships.
U.S. orders with a subtotal of $75 or more (after any discounts) ship free. This applies to U.S. addresses only.

When your order travels across international borders, it may be subject to customs inspections, import duties, and local taxes. These are determined by your country's government, not by us. These fees are separate from your shipping cost and are the responsibility of the recipient.
We are unable to predict or cover customs duties or import taxes. Most orders pass through without issue, but delays at customs are outside our control. We are not able to refund shipping costs for packages held or returned due to unpaid customs fees.
We mark all packages accurately on customs forms as merchandise at full declared value. We are not able to mark packages as gifts or with a lower declared value, as this is against postal regulations.

We pack every order carefully, but occasionally things happen in transit that are beyond our control. Here is what to do:
If your tracking shows delivered but your package hasn't arrived: Please first check with neighbors and look in any sheltered spots near your door. Then contact your local carrier with your tracking number. If your package is still missing after 3 business days, please email us and we will work with you to find a resolution.
If your item arrived damaged: Please take a photo of the damage and email it to us within 7 days of delivery. We will send a replacement at no cost to you.
If you received the wrong item: We are so sorry. That is our mistake. Email us within 7 days and we will ship the correct item right away at our expense.
We want you to love what you bring into your home. If something is not quite right, we are here to help.
Physical books and journals may be returned within 30 days of delivery in their original, unused condition for a full refund of the item price. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we are not able to guarantee receipt of untracked returns.
Digital products (including downloadable songbooks, audio, and any digital guides) are non-refundable due to the nature of digital delivery. If you are experiencing trouble accessing your digital purchase, please contact us and we will make it right.
Gift orders: If you received a Hummingbird Whisper book as a gift and it is not a good fit, please reach out and we will do our best to find a solution.
We are not able to accept returns on items that have been written in, colored in, or otherwise used. We reserve the right to decline returns that do not meet these conditions. Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable. The Hummingbird Whisper is not liable for items lost or damaged in return transit. Refunds will only be issued upon receipt and inspection of the returned item, and we reserve the right to refuse a refund or apply a partial refund if the item is not returned in its original, resalable condition. By placing an order, you agree to these return terms in full.
Sales tax is calculated and collected by Stripe at the time of payment, based on your shipping address and applicable local tax laws. The tax amount will be shown as a separate line item on the Stripe payment page before you confirm your order.
For international orders, local VAT or GST may apply and will be reflected accordingly.
